Shinjuku Incident

In the early 1990s, a tractor mechanic from a northen countryside in China nicknamed Steelhead (Jackie Chan), enters Japan illegally in search of his girlfriend Xiu Xiu (Xu Jinglei). Steelhead and his friend, Jie (Daniel Wu) meet in the busy Shinjuku district of Tokyo and take manual labor jobs to earn money. When Steelhead finds out that Xiu Xiu has married a Japanese yakuza leader named Mr. Eguchi (Masaya Kato), he decides to remain in Japan. Steelhead soon makes his own gang and begins doing corrupt jobs. When Eguchi was targeted to be murdered, Steelhead saves his life. To consolidate power, Eguchi forms an alliance with Steelhead to carry out his revenge. Soon, Steelhead has become embroiled so deeply in the ways of the yakuza that there is no turning back. Eguchi's gang soon turns on Eguchi and a fight broils with Steelhead, Eguchi and his whole gang all killed.

The film is set in a near future anarchic Japan. Rion is on a mission to find her missing friend Shiho. Her only two clues are a card given to her by Shiho and a frantic phone call saying she was being attacked by a vampire. Thus she heads down to a club filled with pretty male escorts whom she insists are vampires. Suou, the number two host at the club, insists that he doesn't know a Shiho at all and claims that they are not vampires. and decides to chase her out of the club. In order to obtain the truth, Rion throws a very very expensive bottle of wine onto the ground to prove that she is not leaving, for now she has to work part-time at the club. Later, she realises that Suou is not the vampire that kidnapped Shiho.

Set in 2008, Kurenai Wataru is a young man who is destined from birth to become Kamen Rider Kiva, and to fight rampant race of monsters known as Fangires, which sustain themselves by draining human life. Though fighting on the side of humanity, Kiva is targeted by an organization which seeks to protect the human race from other races, thus seeing Kiva as a threat. They have a soldier on their side, Kamen Rider IXA, who possesses abilities matching those of Kiva's. As the story progresses, he will come across another Rider, Kamen Rider Saga, who is connected to him in ways he had never imagined.
Simultaneously, the story of Wataru's father, Kurenai Otoya, is told. With the time set in 1986, 22 years ago, Otoya's story will reveal the origin of Kiva, and how Wataru's destiny came to be.

With the deaths of ruling party's Fukuoka Member of Parliament and his eldest son, his heir apparent, in an plane accident, a by-election had to be held right away and, Kanbayashi Masaichi, the House secretary of the ruling party,conceived the idea of fielding the second son, Asakura Keita, and sent his secretary Miyama Rika to complete the task.

Keita was an elementary school teacher in Nagano and his hobby was star gazing.He had no interest in politics. At Rika's persuasion and the pressure of his family, he reluctantly agreed to run for office but with no intention of winning. However, with the help of Nirasawa Katsutoshi, an election strategist, he went on to win by a narrow margin of just 164 votes.

When the Prime Minister was forced to resign over allegation of sexual harrassment, Kanbayashi concocted the idea of nominating the inept Keita to run for the party's leadership and thereby becoming the next Prime Minister as he thought it would be easy to manipulate him and work the situation to his own advantage so he would become the next PM when Keita failed. However, the sincerity and hard work of Keita soon won over every sceptic and as Kanbayashi found out, he was not a puppet on his strings. Kanbayashi had to come up with another scheme to destroy Keita. How far would he go to realize his ambition? Could he succeed?

Yasuko to Kenji

Based on a comical manga by artist Aruko that was serialized in Bessatsu Margaret between April 2005 and November 2006.

The show focuses on a man named Kenji and his younger sister Yasuko, whose parents died in an accident 10 years earlier. Kenji was once the leader of a gang, but in order to support him and his sister, he began making a living as a shojo mangaka. His character normally wears glasses and appears to be a gentle guy, but he throws off his glasses and reverts to his violent side whenever he tries to protect Yasuko from danger. Part of the story follows Yasuko's romance with an intelligent and good-looking man named Jun Tsubaki. Jun's older sister Erika now runs a flower shop, but Erika was once a leader of a female gang, and she used to be in love with Kenji during those days.

The story is about a set of twin baby boys who were created/cloned in the laboratory as a part of gene altering/gene therapy experiment. Wonderful Life

Han Seung-wan (Kim Jae Won) leaves for Singapore to surprise his girlfried on her birthday, and Jung Se-jin (Eugene) is on the same flight to say farewell to her deceased "first love" who died in Singapore. When literally bumping into each other at the airport, they accidentally take each other's passports. They meet again and Seung-wan and Se-jin end up spending the day together. Se-jin knows about his girlfriend, who is two timing Seung-Wan with Min Do-Hyuk (Lee Ji Hoon). Partially to help Seung-Wan avoid from discovering the truth, Se-Jin spends the rest of her time with him. They both get drunk out of sadness of their loves, and end up sleeping together. Back in Korea, Se-jin discovers she is pregnant. She leaves to have the baby alone. A series of events happens for about a year, and Se-Jin's clueless sister ends up spilling the secret to Seung-Wan at this engagement party, showing up with Han Shin-Bi (Jung Da Bin), his daughter, without Se-Jin. Seung-wan's life is forced to face fatherhood and the anger of his two-timing girlfriend - Lee Chae-young (Han Eun Jung). Se-jin reappears as they are forced to marry by their respective families. Complicated love takes place, as Do-Hyuk starts to fall for Se-Jin, and so does Seung-Wan, though Se-Jin is more focused on her loving daughter, as something surprising happens to her. The rest of the story revolves around the family's journey in learning to take responsibility, and learning to love each other.

Whispers and Moans

A mild dash of titillation and a huge dollop of tedious lecturing make Hong Kong prostitute melodrama "Whispers and Moans" an aggravating dirge. Pic led a retrospective of prolific helmer Herman Yau's work at this year's Hong Kong fest, but rough direction makes this look cheaper than a drug-addled streetwalker. Across Asian territories, pic will attract -- and then disappoint -- auds cruising for cheap thrills.

Film is like a Hong Kong version of Lizzie Borden's '80s benchmark "Working Girls," which also depicted the professional and personal lives of prostitutes. At the start, lobbying by a welfare worker to organize a sex worker's collective is greeted with universal derision by the junkies, students, transsexuals and others who've ended up in the oldest profession. Episodes dealing with HIV, syphilis, heroin, gangsters, inconsiderate clients and price-undercutting Mainland girls are designed to seduce both characters and auds into thinking the social worker is right. Helming looks rushed and disheveled; the script, based on a book of interviews with real-life hookers, is pedestrian, leaving poorly rehearsed thesps stranded.
